A movie poster for an old sci-fi film called 'Journey to the Seventh Planet' which I redesigned with a modernized retro film poster aesthetic. I utilized minimalist imagery that is pared down to only a small handful of key symbols along with the use of textures
and shadows.

I chose Futura Light for the sharpness of the letters along with the spikes which emerge from the shadows around the edges of the poster. The planet and rocket ship are aligned in such a way is it resembles an eyeball, dominating the centre of the poster. All these elements were in the film and I combined these symbols to convey the film’s theme of fear.
