An irreverent retelling of a treacherous expedition in Australia's history, focusing on the conflicts between the main explorers and the hardships they came across.
Inspired by a zine I have created in university, I revived the idea as a short mixed-media animation using Adobe After Effects. Preserving the original style of the zine, I have combined scans of hand made elements (stencils, newspaper clippings, drawings and hand-written cursive) with with digital elements (motion, use of fonts, satellite footage and voiceover). I have utilised the visual language and motion techniques to combine humour and informative content
